Why I'm Running

Let’s face it—too many things that used to be in our hands, like parenting, education, and running our businesses, have been taken over by the government. This shift has shaken the foundations of our society. As your MP, I’m determined to flip the script. It’s time to put power back where it belongs—with you. Together, we can reclaim our responsibilities and build a society where everyone steps up and takes charge. Let’s make this happen!

My views

  • I believe that money is the measuring tape for value, and inflation constantly distorts that tape.

  • I believe taxes should pay for defending the nation, staffing the courts and for delivering the mail. For everything else, that money should be left in the citizen's pocket where it belongs.

  • I personally believe that government should let the citizens keep what they earn, and the citizen should apply those earnings towards private health insurance. But having so heavily leaned into the welfare state, today I would honestly settle for simply abolishing the single payer model.

  • As with health care, I believe that the government should let the citizens keep what they earn, and the citizens should then be free to invest their earnings in a retirement fund of their choosing. Unfortunately, today, the opposite is happening where governments which have spent recklessly and cannot make their pension obligations resort to increasing the capital gains tax on the very same elderly they purport to provide for.

  • I believe that the transfer of decision making of educational curricula from the community to the provincial government is an abdication of parental responsibility.

  • I believe that society is trying to regulate its way to perfection, but every time we introduce a new regulation, we deprive a citizen of their ability to earn a living. What we are left with, in the end, is increased levels of poverty.

  • I believe we need to first clearly define what Canada's vision is going to be for the next 100 years. Next, we must set about amending our immigration formula to ensure we are bringing in only those people that are aligned with our national vision. Finally, we need to drastically reduce the number of people we extend citizenship to.

Each week, I give ordinary Canadians the microphone and they tell me all the many ways that government is encroaching on their lives.
